Colors that pop, chunky bracelets and words that capture your personality will achieve that adorable look for your wrist this season! Headed to a dance, movies with the girls or even church, your little black dress is the perfect accessory to these bangles.

Boutiques in your local downtown area or your local shopping areas should carry these sassy looks. Homewood, AL (a suburb of Birmingham, where Idols are made) is home to one of my favorite downtown boutiques, The Silver Locket. Toni Wynne, owner of The Silver Locket, stocks her shelves with fun and funk that inspires her customers to be “YOU-nique.”

In your sterling silver jewelry, shapes are essential in the look you want. Recent fashion shows have highlighted colorful metallics with a chunky flair. Adding the most affectionate detail to your wrist are the bangles that actually describe who you are. The gold bangles feature encouraging words such as Hope, Faith, Joy and Love. My favorites are the green metallic chunky bangle because it’s flashy detail let’s people know you are one spunky gal. The gold bangle featuring the words Hope, Faith and Joy touch my heart because hope and faith lead to joy.

Lovely ladies such as Jennifer Lopez, Kate Hudson and Beyonce have decorated their wrists with chunky bangles. If you’re really into showing that extra zip in your personality layer your bracelets in order to express your sense of style.

One common rule in fashion if all else fails is the ever popular K-I-S-S (Keep It Simple Sister)! A great way to incorporate beauty and brains is to have your bangle double as a watch. This way you have no excuse for being late for class except you’re looking so cute your crush has stopped you in the hallway. Mission accomplished.
