It’s that time again. Spring is here and the end of the school year is rapidly approaching. Whether you’ve been to prom as an underclassman or this is your first big event, it’s exciting to dress up, socialize and dancing the night away. Hair, makeup and a dress are all things to think about. But most importantly, you need to find a date that you want to spend this special night with. Whether it’s a crush, a boyfriend or just a good guy friend, choosing someone who you feel comfortable with and makes you laugh is key to having a fantastic night.

But how do you go about sending the right signals to the guy you want to go with? Dane Ostilly, a senior at Staples High School in Westport, Conn. gave some insight into those things that girls do that are a turnoff to guys. His thoughts on the perfect
prom candidate: “It’s simple: don’t be pushy.”
