Want to look chic and trendy this fall without spending a lot of money? Just wrap a scarf around your neck. Yes that’s right. This fall, scarves are all the rave. Thick ones, silk ones, colorful ones, fringe ones—the signature winter apparel has been coined one of fall 2008’s most fashionable accessory. This fall it’s one of the most important accessories denoting fashion.
Scarves are perfect accessories to add a kick of couture without breaking your wallet. And lets face it conserving money is essential these days. Throw one loosely around your neck, with a dress, pantsuit or jeans and tee, and you can walk right onto the runway. (stay tuned. Next week we are going to show you scarf draping techniques)
Since scarves are a must-have in your fall closest, here are some of the trendiest scarves in the market to purchase for affordable prices.
Fringe is in – No matter the material or pattern, fringes are a must have on a scarf. Silk-fringed scarves add elegance and glamour to your look. While cotton fringed scarves are more casual. Either way, a scarf without fringe is like a boot with no heel. You can find a variety of fringed scarves almost anywhere these days.
Check Mate – Patterns are a must have when wearing a fashion scarf. Checkered prints seem to be the must have fav in the market. Check mate!
Bohemian mama – If you’re not into animal prints yet, you need to jump on board! Animal prints are not fading out anytime soon. And what’s more fierce than having a leopard or zebra print scarf set-off a solid color outfit. Try adding these prints to your solids and see the fashion gods smile!
Xhilarate yourself – The Xhilartion brand at Target has a variety of colorful patterns and materials to choose from. The collection includes metallic, checkered and pleated prints.
Rock Solid – Solid color prints are always the most friendly. If you have an outfit that has a lot going on and you are afraid of overdoing it with the accessories, a solid color scarf is the answer.
Stripped -This knit jersey scarf brings comfort and mobility to your free spirited style. The scarf is heathered on one-side and stripped on the other. Also available in blue, pink, green and gray.
Flowers – Summer has ended, but that doesn’t mean you can’t sport this navy floral scarf from Hollister. Just because its too clod for the yacht doesn’t mean you can’t pretend.
Knit me close – If being fashion trendy is not a good enough reason to go buy scarves then how about this—there warm! Crochet and knit scarves allow you to have your cake and eat it to. Stay warm and fashionable at the same time.
