Unless you live under a rock it would have been hard to miss all the hype about Miley Cyrus’ movie. Early reviews and the readers we’ve talked to have all agreed – It is a great movie. Miley is great and, of course, Lucas Till is such a cutie! Here’s the run down of the movie that topped the box office this weekend.

Malibu, CA-living Miley Stewart, aka Hannah Montana when on stage, begins to lose sight of who she really is and where she came from. To escape the stardom buzz and reconnect with her roots, Miley’s dad forces her to head home and spend two weeks in the small Tennessee town she grew up in. But of course the home turns out to be more than she thought. She’s got a funky grandmother, Ruby; Travis, a super cute farm boy and of course paparazzi who are about to blow her cover.

As she begins to reconnect with who she was before becoming a pop sensation, Miley enters a battle to save a local park from a shopping center developer. While Miley and Travis are falling in love, Miley’s dad begins romancing a local, Lorelei.

And of course through it all are the songs that make Hannah Montana so enjoyable. There are cameos by Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift. And Miley’s dad Billy Rae Cyrus sings two songs, including a hip-hop country song. Who said country couldn’t be mainstream?
