Five, six, seven, eight…the beats start, they’re feeling the rhythm and their bodies’ are groovin’. It’s just another day in the dance off hood for Quest Crew.
As MTV’s Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew Season 3 winners, Quest Crew took top honors due to their crowd enthused performances. Recently, Dominic “D-Trix” Sandoval let RelateMag.com in on the secrets of what makes Quest Crew tick.
Choreography is all about composition and the arrangement of dances. D-Trix said for Quest Crew their moves are all about “our individual specialties. We try not to be trendy choreography wise, thus we try to dance to show just how much fun we have…so our choreography is usually based on trying to get the crowd more excited!” In D-Trix’s opinion (and many Quest Crew fans) the performance they’re most proud of is OrQuestra. D-Trix proudly states, “We made our dream come true with creating OrQuestra.”
According to Merriam-Webster.com, the meaning of crew is “a band or force of armed men.” For these young men armed with “sick tricks” the meaning of teamwork when Quest Crew arrives is “no matter how last minute our routines, we can trust in each other to execute the routine.” D-Trix goes on to say with his witty charm, “Our chemistry is extremely strong like science class!”
Not only does Quest Crew jam they’ve also got jokes. When asked what their “theme song” would be D-Trix said with an LOL “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey. The best advice Quest Crew has for RelateMag.com readers is “Don’t let anyone decide on if you make your dream reality. Use negative energy as a positive and create to be memorable not to win…winning should be a bonus!”
A bonus for Quest Crew’s D-Trix is “waking up to spam, eggs and rice. Going to a show with the fellas, performing, then an after party at a club with lots of dance space; dancing with my favorite dancers then watching my crew get hit on by girls and Hok with doughnut.” Hmmm…not sure what’s up with the doughnut but, the rest sounds like quite a day.
Forever grateful for the experience on “America’s Best Dance Crew,” Quest Crew considers winning the coveted title “a tremendous accomplishment at which we will take as a stepping stone and concentrate on bigger things!” Adorable and brilliant with their razzle dazzle energized signature style BIG things are lined up for Quest Crew. “Branding our name, movies, more TV work, traveling the world and more spam, eggs and rice,” are all D-Trix needs.
This group of bro’s with their win or lose spirit just have one goal to accomplish… “to be memorable and inspirational.” Quest Crew, mission accomplished.
