Have you ever found yourself in the midst of the hustle and bustle of a bad day? Perhaps you spilled milk on your new dress at breakfast or you were late to school. What if while washing your hands in the bathroom at school, one small little note on the mirror made you stop in your tracks and smile: “You’re beautiful! Stay True2You!” Suddenly, the day isn’t quite so bad! What if this happened to thousands of girls all around the country every day?

Operation Beautiful seems to be founded on the “practice random acts of kindness” philosophy. The organization strives to eliminate negative body image by encouraging women to leave inspiring messages on sticky notes in random public places. The notes are anonymous, small, and deliver a simple but poignant message. “The point is that WE ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL. You are enough… just the way you are!” as the editor Caitlin says.

We at Relate are so excited to announce our new partnership with Operation Beautiful. Starting now through the end of December, we have a goal of having Relate readers (that’s you!) post 500,000 encouraging notes around the United States! How will we know when we have met this goal? When you put your note up in a public place, take a picture of it and send it to us, also letting us know in which city you posted your note. Make sure to reference relatemag.com and operationbeautiful.com on your note so whoever sees the note will know where to go to find the supportive, loving young women that appreciate every girl’s inner and outer beauty no matter what! And keep a look out for Relate’s True2You contest launching in January, details will be posted on our site in the weeks to come!
