Now more than ever, we are trying to protect ourselves from the flu, especially the H1N1 virus. That means washing hands constantly. (At least I am trying!) Washing my hands multiple times a day combined with the chilly temperatures is leaving my hands in a sad condition. I’ve tried several different remedies and wanted to share a few with you.
Good old Vaseline, aka Petroleum Jelly: you can find it pretty much everywhere. It has multiple uses and a little goes a long way. Rub all over your hands and they feel instantly smooth. My only gripe is that it’s kinda greasy. You can’t grab the remote after you’ve moisturized!

Mary Kay Satin Hands might be one of my favorite products. The scrub takes away the dry flakes, and when followed up with a luxuriously soft hand cream, feels like heaven.

Perhaps try a home remedy? WomensFitness.net offers several ideas for dry hands that are probably in your kitchen cabinet right now. I tried combining 3 tablespoons of sugar, one tablespoon of olive oil and mixed until a blended consistency. Then I rubbed it on my hands for about 5 minutes. Ahh!
What are you using on your dry hands?
