It’s a Friday night, and you and your friends are dying to find something to do. The problem is, all of you are down to your last couple dollars. Don’t despair! You can still celebrate the end of a long week even if you are on a tight budget! These outings and get-togethers are guaranteed to be fun and easy on the wallet.
1) Game night:
Pick a house to hang out at and break out your favorite board games. You will be surprised just how competitive your friends will get over the game! Get creative making teams: try boys vs. girls, younger vs. older, brunettes vs. blondes, or just completely mix it up!
Great games for all ages:
-Taboo: 15-Adult
-Whoonu: 8-Adult
-Apples to Apples: 12-Adult
-Cranium: 13-Adult
-The Game of Things: 16-Adult
-Uno: 7-Adult
2) Favorite movie or TV show night:
Decide on a movie to watch or tune into a favorite TV show. If you would like to go the movie route, go to your local Blockbuster and pick from hundreds of new and old titles. Looking for a bargain? Find your nearest Redbox by checking this website and rent a movie for $1 a night! Once you and your friends have decided on what to watch, pop some popcorn and set up a comfy viewing area.
3) Spa night:
Nothing is better than a night spent with your favorite girls, painting your nails, talking about everything, giving yourselves pedicures and wearing facial masks. Play relaxing background music and light scented candles. If you’re craving a healthy snack, make your own fruit smoothies!
4) Workout session:
If your new year’s resolution was to get in shape, what better way to get started than working out with your friends? Make a plan with your girlfriends and stick to it! Nowadays, there are numerous ways to workout in the comfort of your own home. Try a fun fitness video or even the Wii Fit. Create a playlist of songs that will keep all of you motivated and blast it to pump everyone up!
5) Bowling:
While on the average night bowling may be a bit expensive, check out your local alley’s website or call for nightly specials. In some cases, two games of bowling can cost less than a meal at a fast food restaurant! Have fun trying out these inexpensive ideas with your friends! Why spend $10 to see a movie and sit in silence when you can do something interactive with your close friends for much less?
