What eBook?
Relate is publishing a new eBook series and the first topic to be covered is Self-Esteem & Body Image. Don’t worry, you will get more details as we get closer to launch date. For now, we are putting on the finishing touches and we need your stories to spice it up!
What Stories?
As we mentioned the topic of our eBook is Self-Esteem and Body Image. We are looking for testimonies/stories/words of wisdom from real teens. It can be a way you have overcome a challenge, advice for others on how to deal with a problem, the effect God/your faith has had on you, etc. The following are the main areas we are looking for your input:
1. Media’s influence on your self-esteem and/or body image
2. Being made in God’s image and its effect on the way you view yourself
3. How the people you surrounded yourself with and family influence your self-esteem
4. Things you do to help you feel good about yourself
5. The effect judging others has on the way you view yourself OR your experience with other judging you and how it made you feel
How Do I Submit?
All you have to do is email your story to mary@relatemag.com. It can be in the body of the email or sent as an attached word document. Please send us your story by February 26th (that’s in 1 week). We will take care of the editing so, don’t worry about it being perfect. We will protect your privacy like we always do and if you would like for your story to be included, but by “anonymous” just be sure to mention that when you send in your story. We will need a signed release from your parents giving their approval for your story to be published (if you are under 18), but we will send that to you after we receive your story.
