By Dana Ford

Every Saturday I spend time watching marathons of America’s Next Top Model. I’ve noticed when I watch runway; it’s all about attitude, confidence and overall presence of the model beneath the clothing. A good model sells the outfit.

In everyday life, a good role model attracts other people. A good attitude makes us beautiful. According to the Bible, what makes us beautiful and what makes us humble, is having an attitude of faith.

It is often said that faith has an attitude of its own. So that when we exemplify ourselves by doing acts of faith, we are more attractive in a positive way.

In Hebrews 11:1 it says, “Faith is the assurance…of the things (we) hope for, being the proof of things (we) do not see.”

In Hebrews 4, it says that “those who have believed God—those who have an attitude of faith—enter His rest and cease from the weariness and pain of human labors.”

The attitude of faith does not worry, fret, or have anxiety concerning tomorrow, because faith understands that wherever it needs to go, even into the unknown of the future, Jesus has already been there. He has already been down the runway, and He is with us as we walk down it and share ourselves with others.

Not only is He the Beginning and the End, He is everything in between. Wearing an attitude of faith as we walk through life is an important part of attracting others.

Not only is it important to be pretty on the outside, but by having a heart like Jesus and an attitude with an attitude of its own (faith), the meaning “to be a light of this world” will reign true and we will shine brighter when we strut the runway of life!

I thought I was the only that watched that show on Saturdays.

Well anyway, God has helped me out a lot. The only problem is seeing everything that he has done. I could write all days on what I have seen him do and the rest of the time trying to see everything else that I need to thank him for. He has brought me out of many abusive relationships, and I survived an abuse childhood. I now have a wonderful family, who I am blesses to have. He steered me into becoming a Christian… Well one that knows Christ and his father. That one is hard to explain. I guess the easiest way to explain it is, I new that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, but I did not realize the full effect. I did not go to church, and I did not read the bible. I have now found a wonderful church. He has protect my loved ones and me.

So many things. Anyway, thank you God.

i completely agree. I can be wearing the cutest outfit but if I don’t feel confident I won’t feel good about myself. When I have a stronger inner confidence I feel most beautiful…even if I’m just wearing sweats and a t-shirt.
