Ashley Tisdale New Show Hellcats

Do you like the “Bring it On” movies? Well coming in the fall, Ashley Tisdale will be in an exciting new television show on the CW. The new comedy-drama is called “Hellcats,” and it also stars singer and actress Alyson Michalka. So how can you go wrong with an acting duo like Ashley and Alyson… And of course on the CW.

The show is being called a cross between “Bring it On” and the Reese Witherspoon move, “Election.” According to Wikipedia, the show is based off the book by journalist Kate Torgovnick, “Inside the Secret World of College Cheerleaders.”

“Hellcats” is about this pre-law student Marti Perkins (Alyson Michalka). Marti leaves her home in Memphis behind, along with her mother who has a drinking problem to attend Lancer University on a scholarship. When her mother did not tell her that her scholarship had been cancelled, Marti looks around to see what her options are. The only thing she can find is trying out for Lancer’s cheerleading squad the Hellcats. Lucky for her, they need a new member after one of the cheerleaders, Alice Verdura, gets hurt.

Ashley Tisdale plays Savannah Monroe who is the captain of the Hellcats. Soon Savannah finds herself with a new roommate, Marti, but not to worry they soon become friends.

“Hellcats” will be on Wednesdays, after “America’s Next Top Model,” at 9/8c this fall on the CW. So keep your eyes open on the TV and local listening to see which day and time it will air.
