Recently, we had the honor of interviewing Saige Ryan Campbell. Saige is an actress, singer, rapper and a member of the musical group Pink E Swear. Continue to read below and learn more about Saige, her up and coming movies and about her group the Pink E Swear.

R: Tell us a little bit about yourself?

S: Hi, I’m Saige Ryan Campbell a.k.a. Young Saige (that is my rapper alias) I am an actress, singer and rapper in the group Pink E Swear.

R: At what age did you get into acting? What was your first role? What was the audition processes like? How did you find out that you got the part?

S: I started acting at around age 7 and I booked a few commercials at first, but my first theatrical role was on a show called the Guardian. There were about 8 pages of sides to learn (at age 7 that’s a lot [laughs]). I went to the first call and then got the callback about a week later. I got the call from my agent saying I booked it before I even got off the lot. It was very exciting.

R: You are in an up and coming movie called “Shrieking Violet.” Can you tell us a little bit about it and your character Violet?

S: Shrieking Violet is a sci-fi horror film that I’ll be filming late this summer. Violet is the lead character in the film and I have also recently booked a film called exit 172 that I’ll be filming in the fall in the New Jersey area.

R: You are also in the movie “Forget me Not.” For those who have not seen it, can you tell us about the movie? What was it like working with Cody Linley and Chloe Bridges?

S: Filming Forget Me Not was a blast! There were a lot of kids on the set, and we all got along really well. We have all kept in contact and actually hang out all the time. Cody Linley is hilarious we actually have a video from the private screening of him outside dancing a beautiful ballet (laughs). In the movie I played Young Layla, Chloe played the older version of the character. She was great, really sweet and a great actress.

R: You are an amazing rapper and dancer. How long have you been dancing, rapping and singing? What is your favorite type of dance?

S: Well thank you so much. I have been dancing pretty much as long as I could walk, I do all types of dance but hip hop is my favorite. My mom says I started rapping when I was around 3 or 4 quoting Eminem lyrics that I probably shouldn’t have known (kinda of embarrassing for my mom [laughs]) .

R: Tell us about your group Pink E Swear? Who is in it? What was it like opening up for Demi Lovato at Holiday Christmas Parade? What is Demi like in person?

S: Taylor, Sydney, Tasha and I were chosen through a nation wide search to be a part of this group. We have since become best friends, and I don’t know what I would do without them. They are all actresses’ as well and very talented girls. The Hollywood Christmas Parade was an amazing show; there was a huge a huge crowd so it really made it fun. It was an honor opening for Demi Lovato, She was great and took the time to talk to everyone. After our performance we got to ride in the parade, definitely topped it off.

R: How did the band form? Is Pink E Swear on any social networking sites?

S: Well they held auditions and four were chosen, and since we were all so different we each have our own genre of music in the group I am Hip Hop (obviously), Taylor is our pop star, Sydney…the rocker, and Tasha is the country girl. We have a myspace, mypace.com/pinkeswear and twitter, twitter.com/pinkeswear and we also have a few videos on youtube just search Pink E Swear.

R: What is your favorite song to perform on stage and why?

S: I think my favorite song to perform would have to be “Pink” because it gets the crowd going and it’s kind of our anthem but I also love “Tune em Out” because its more of a hip hop song which I love and the rap is fun to do live!

R: We read that you have a CD. Is it out yet? Where can people get your CD or music?

S: Our CD is completed and it should be released this summer.

R: What has been your favorite moment so far?

S: With Pink E Swear probably filming with MTV a few months ago. We got to go do some really fun stuff together and had the cameras following us for the week it was pretty cool!

R: What has been you most star struck moment? Who was it and tell us about it?

S: Believe it or not my most star struck moment was probably when I met Weird Al, he has been one of my favorite people since I was really little and when I met him the first time I could barely even talk! But I was lucky enough to get to meet him again at a private party and I got to hang out with him and his family he is sooo nice and just an amazing person. Now the day I get to meet Eminem my answer might change (laughs).

R: If you could work with anyone in the world, who would it be? If you could make a guest appearance on any show, which show would it be and why?

S: Well musically it would definitely be Eminem and theatrically it would have to be Will Smith. I think he’s an amazing actor. As far as a TV shows, I would love to be a judge on So “You Think You Can Dance” or “Americas Best Dance Crew” because they are two of my favorite shows.

R: You have a great sense of style. How did you come up with the style? What is your favorite item to wear?

S: Thank You! (laughs). umm its just kind of what comes naturally to me, I like hats, chains and peace signs (laughs) but my favorite is my hat . You will rarely catch me without a hat or bandana.

R: What singers and bands can be found on your ipod or mp3 player? What is your favorite song from each one?

S: Well a lot of people but mostly Eminem I have pretty much every song he’s ever recorded all the way back to his first album Infinite! I have a lot of Tupac, and Usher, Ludacris, Ne-Yo and T-pain. Just to name a few.

S: I am very involved with many animal charities like Angels in Fur, Best friends foundation, and The world Trust foundation, I am an animal lover. I have adopted six cats two dogs rabbits etc. I am also involved with quite a few children’s cancer organizations, some of the kids that we meet at these fundraisers are amazing, …

R: What is the best advice you have ever gotten and by who?

S: My producer Tone always tells us to work hard and never give up on your dreams.

R: What advice would you give teenage girls?

S: I’d say always be your self and don’t change for anyone! And if you find something you love to do give it your all.
