“Ponyo” One of the Cutest Films Ever

Have you ever wanted to be someone or something that you are not? Have you ever wanted something so bad that you worked as hard as you could to make your dream true? Well that is the case of the little goldfish Ponyo in the movie with the same name.

“Ponyo,” which is inspired by “The Little Mermaid,” (rated G) is a Japanese Anime film that is made by the brilliant filmmaker/ screenwriter/ character designer Hayao Miyazaki You may know him from other Japanese Anime movies as “Castle in the Sky,” “Kiki’s Delivery Service,” “Princess Mononoke” and “Howl’s Moving Castle.”

Ponyo is a princess goldfish, that is befriend by a 5 year-old boy named Sosuke, when he saves her from a glass container. When Ponyo’s father takes her away from Sosuke and back home she runs away to find her new friend. Ponyo more than anything wants to become a girl and be with Sosuke, but what will happen if Ponyo becomes a human? Will the earth become out of balance?

“Ponyo” is a cute, fun and feel good movie. This movie is one of the best anime movies in a long time. You will quickly fall in love with adorable Ponyo and the rest of the characters in this anime. You will find yourself smiling throughout the whole movie and even after it is over. This movie is great for anyone at any age. The cast of “Ponyo” did an outstanding job voicing the characters and making them come alive. But it doesn’t hurt to have a star filled cast.
