Do you remember the 2004 movie “Mean Girls” starring Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, Lacey Chabert and Lizzy Caplan? If not, it is the one where Cady, played by Lindsay Lohan, who has been home schooled all her life in Africa, moves to a big city and goes to public school for the first time. She quickly makes new friends, but soon ends up being friends with “the plastics.” Well, they are now filming the sequel to the movie, but this time with a different cast.

“Mean Girls 2” is currently being filmed in Atlanta, Georgia and it has an all star cast. There is “Camp Rocks” Meaghan Jette Martin (Jo), “Wizards of Waverly Place” Jennifer Stone (Abby Hanover), “JONAS” Nicole Anderso (Hope), Diego Boneta (Adam) and Maiara Walsh (Mandi Dupont), who you may recognize from “Cory in the House.” The movie is being directed by Melanie Mayron, and the script is written by Elana Lesser and Cliff Ruby.

“Mean Girls 2” is about a new girl named Jo (Meaghan Jette Martin), who becomes friends with the school outcast, Abby (Jennifer Stone), after the Abby’s father told her that he would pay for the college of Jo’s choice. Jo and Abby team up to take on the mean girls aka “The Plastics.” Will Jo and Abby be able to outsmart the mean girls? Will Abby find out that her dad paid Jo to be her friend?

This made for TV movie will premier sometime in 2011. At this moment, there has not been a channel picked out to air “Mean Girls 2.” We will keep you posted if we hear anything else about what channel this movie will premier on.
