After using a custom palette complete with eyeshadow, blush and lip balm (thanks Julie Hewett!), I am hooked. Convenience is a major plus for me, especially since I’m not a morning person. Ever since we saw the above picture of Emma Watson sporting the Cat Eye look, we fell in love with it. She is not the only celebrity that has been seen with close to the same look. Hayley Williams, who is the lead singer of the hot rock band Paramore has and so have Angelina Jolie, Taylor Swift, Rhianna, Nicole Richie, Kate Moss, Amy Winehouse and do not forget Brigitte Bardot, which the cat eye was her signature look.

But celebrities are not the only ones that are using this look. We have it in schools, at the malls – - everywhere.

The only problem is how do you create this unique look? We had no idea so we went looking for a great how-to video that we could watch that would show us how to create the look we wanted. There are many great videos out there that will show you how to do it, but when we found this one, we thought that it goes more in-depth than some of the others.

Before you watch this helpful video, do remember it does take practice to create this look, so just like anything else you will need to practice, practice and practice. Don’t be too upset if you can’t do it the first time- we are still working on it. But you will soon be able to create this look and even make it your own.

Yes, it’s true. Another heart-pounding season of the show “24″ premiered January 17th. You love the action, the special effects, the tension…but did you ever consider the makeup? Or what about the nail polish?

OK, it’s a stretch, right? Why would a  “special agent” or someone concerned about national security be worried about breaking a nail? Granted, they are on TV and they DO have to look good, even if we’re just talking about their nails. They’ve got to be “tough as nails” to get the job done!

If you want to look like one of the Volturi, THINK LAYERS. Then, start with the it stick concealer from Benefit ($20.) Blood Red Lips

Benetint is a chic two in one product from Benefit. The bottle looks like nail polish, but it’s actually lip and cheek tint. The rose colored stain is said to be ‘kiss-proof,’ according to the Benefit website. They also call it ‘innocent yet provocative.’ If that doesn’t sound like The Twilight Saga, I don’t know what else does. Apply three dots to the apples of cheeks and blend quickly with fingers ($28).

Dark Nails

Many of the vampires in New Moon have dark nails. I’ve been using OPI Nail Lacquer in Siberian Nights, which is deep purple with a minor shine. They also make a matte color, Lincoln Park After Dark which looks closer to black ($9).
