Recently I got to interview actress Anna Colwell. She plays Alicia in the up and coming
movie The Greening of Whitney Brown. Continue to read on and learn more about
Anna, her new movie and about what movie she would like to remake and the
character she would like to play.

R: Tell us a little bit about yourself?

A: I consider myself the ultimate dichotomy, I love fashion and sparkle, yet I’m a sports
fans and most of my friends are male. I love my family and genuinely enjoy spending
a lot of time with them. I’m incredibly loyal, sometimes to a fault. And I’m a huge
advocate for following the golden rule!

R: How did you get into the acting industry?

A: I started modeling at the age of 10. I worked my way into commercials soon after and
eventually progressed to film and TV a few years ago.

R: Tell us about your up and coming movie The Greening of Whitney Brown and about
your character Alicia? .

A: The story is based around a girl named Whitney (Sammi Hanratty), who’s been
brought up very privileged. Her dad loses her job, so they have to move to the
country. There, she befriends a horse named Bob and learns a lot of life lessons that
show her what’s really important in life, her family. I play Alicia, Whitney’s fun nanny.

R: Are there any similarities between you and your character? What are the
major differences?

A: I would say there are some similarities. She has such a great spirit and is so sweet and
supportive of Whitney, I would like to think I have at least some of that in myself. A big
difference would be that I don’t think I would make a very good nanny, I’m too impatient!

R: What was the audition processes like for this movie? How did you find out that you
got the part? Where were you?

A: The first audition was funny because the character was originally supposed to have a
French accent. I took a few years of French in school, so I spent the night before trying
to remember my French. I waited for a couple of hours in the waiting room, going
through my lines in my wannabe accent. I went into the room with the casting director
and the first thing she says is, “Oh, you know she’s no longer French, right?”. I just had
to laugh! I actually don’t remember where I was when I got the call from my agent, I was
probably in my car because I’m always on the go!

R: How did you prepare yourself of the role?

A: Although I was never a nanny, I did baby-sit my little brother and sister some when
they were small, so it wasn’t completely foreign for me to feel the character. I have a
pretty natural maternal instinct, I think that helped too.

R: You are also is the movie Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. Is there anything you
can tell us about this movie?

A: This movie was a new experience for me, because it’s shot in 3D! The director shoots
in a way that maximizes the 3D effect, with things coming toward the lens and different
angles. So, it was really cool to see. Plus, I’m sure all the girls out there would want to
know that Josh Hutcherson is a sweetheart!

R: What has been you most “star struck” moment? Who was it and tell us about it.

A: Honestly, I wouldn’t say that I’ve really had one. I’ve definitely been excited to work
with certain people because of their sense of humor. I’m more impressed with someone
after I meet them, if they’re a really nice, genuine person. At the end of the day, movie
stars are just normal people who are lucky enough to have super cool jobs!

R: There seems to be a trend of remaking movies. If you had a chance to be in a remake
of a movie, what movie would you love to be in and why? What character would you
want to play?

A: Well, Dirty Dancing would be a great answer, but they’re already doing that one! I
always thought My Cousin Vinny would be so much fun to remake; I would love to play
Lisa. Marisa Tomei was so great though, I don’t know her performance could ever be
topped!

R: What are five things that people may not know about you?

A: 1. I’m a vegetarian 2.. I’m a football superfan and know more about the game than
most guys 3. I love to sing, I feel music in my bones 4. My closet is HUGE, I have
quite a collection, but almost always end up in my jeans and tees. 5. I played soccer for
12 years

R: What is the best advice you have ever gotten and by who?

A: Right after I first started modeling, I was in the car with my mom on the way home
from a shoot. She said to me, “regardless of whatever external beauty God gives anyone,
it’s internal beauty that really matters.” I believe that now and will forever. True beauty
shines from the inside out.

R: What advice would you give teenage girls?

A: Respect yourself. Surround yourself with good people that lift you up, encourage you
and make you smile. Always be grateful and focus on the good things in your life, don’t
dwell on the things that others have, thinking that what’s you need to be happy. Also,
Dream big!

R: Other than this one, what is the strangest question you have ever been asked?

A: A fan asking me my shoe size was definitely weird. The prom invitations are always
funny, but so sweet and flattering!

R: Are you on any social networking sites? If so, which ones and what are their
addresses? Do you have an official website? If so, what is the address?

A: I am. I’m on twitter @realannacolwell and I have facebook fan page http://
www.facebook.com/pages/Anna-Colwell/177333948963187 or you can just search my
name, because that web address is way too long! I do have a website, acolwell.com

R: Is there anything else you would like to add or say to your fans?

A: Well, most of my fan base consists of football fans, at the moment! I appreciate the
encouragement and support so much, it means so much that you have my back!! I hope I
make you all proud!!!

Recently I had the great honor of interviewing actor/singer/songwriter Adam Hicks.
Continue to read on and learn more about this talented performer.

R: How did you get into acting?

A: I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. I went to an elementary school and about in the
fourth grade they had this play for the school and there were agents there. So I did the
play and I got picked up. Once I got picked up I did local stuff. Then I got an offer
for an agent audition in California, so I went out there and I got picked up. I have been
acting for about eleven years.

R: For anyone that has not see your show, Zeke and Luther, yet would you mind telling
them a little bit about it.

A: It is about two kids who want to become professional skate boarders. It is about two
best friends. It is about wacky adventures everyday. I play Luther, who is this zany
and outrageous character. He is the comedy driven character of the show. Working on
Zeke and Luther is so much fun. It has been three seasons now and it has been constant
adventure. It is the craziest thing, I come home at night and I look back on my day and I
am “like wow. I can’t believe that I did that.” It’s great and I love the show. We are like
a family.

R: Do you get to do your own stunts?

A: I am a good skateboarder. I get to do a lot of land tricks. Anything that jumps over a
minivan or a car (laughs) they usually throw a stunt double in.

R: Recently you were in the movie Lemonade Mouth. Tell us a little bit about the movie
and what was it like working with Bridgit Mendler?

A: It is about five kids who meet in detention room and they start a band, start a
revolution and become rock stars. This project was such a great experience, especially
for me by showing my transition from Luther into Wen because Wen is more of a
relaxed, chilled out character and showing my fans that I have that other side. Being
about to make some music, I got to write three songs for the movie, so I got to mix in my
music and mix in my acting. The cast is amazing. Bridgit Mendler is an amazing singer
and an amazing actress. I feel like everyone was picked perfectly.

R: What songs did you record and write for the soundtrack?

A: I recorded for “Breakthrough,” “Determinate” and “Livin’ On a High Wire.” I
got to write for three songs. The first song that I recorded was “Determinate,” it was
amazing. They sent me the track and actually before I had even booked the role of
Wen, Disney contacted me and they were like “we would like you to do some music
for the movie.” I was super stoked, and then I got Wen (laughs). It was so great. They
sent me “Determinate” and it had temporary vocalist on it and I jammed out to it in my
hotel room and went over it and got a feel for what I was going to do, then I just started
writing. Then next day we went in and I wrote for “Breakthrough” also. So I had went in
and knocked out those two songs. When I was in New Mexico, there was like two weeks
left and Disney contacted me again and said that they were going to do a bonus scene for
the DVD and a bonus track, which was “Livin’ On a High Wire,” so I got to write for that
and we got to record that in New Mexico.

R: Tell us about the song that you wrote “Dance for Life.”

A: “Dance for Life” is for the dance crew Jabberwocky. They actually got to dance to
it on “Shake it Up,” which was awesome. I know that they loved the song, which truly
meant a lot to me because I am a fan of them. Having them perform on my song (laughs)
is increasable. It is a high energy track. It has a lot of great breakdowns and switches of
styles.

R: Tell us about the song “Burning Up.”

A: I recorded that a couple of day ago. That is going to be the summertime anthem for
Disney. It is going to be awesome. It is another fast high energy track. It is talking
about us burning up for summer and chillin’ and summertime. The song has a really
good vide behind it. Everyone is really excited. I am really excited. I know that they

are going to shoot a music video – I can’t wait to do that. It turned out really good. I
have Chris Brochu on the chorus. He was in Lemonade Mouth also. He did the mudslide
crush, which was like our nemesis band in Lemonade Mouth. He recorded for all those
songs and those are great songs (laughs). Even though he played our arch-nemesis he
had some really great songs.

Adam Hicks

R: I read that you signed a deal with Hollywood records. Is that true?

A: No. I get that a lot. I am not sure where people heard that.

R: What are some of your future goals?

A: I am so happy about what is going on right now. I am just taking it day by day. I
would love for Lemonade Mouth to go on tour. That is one of my future goals. Do
another movie for Lemonade Mouth. It is really up to the fans. We have had so many
amazing responses. And seeing everyone and how the react to the movie. The push
behind it will tell us if we go on tour or not, which is an ultimate goal for me.

R: What are five things people may not know about you?

A: I can stand on my hands for a very very long time—perfectly still. I played the
drums for eight years. I am a pretty good dancer. I love to dance. I was in a popping
dance crew. (laughs). I read from a book every night before I go to bed. I am reading
the book “The Black Pearl” right now. It is really good. My favorite movie is the Lion
King. I use to watch it continuously when I was young (laughs).

R: What is the best advice you have ever gotten and by who?

A: Probably from my dad. When I first started acting my dad always told me to be an
actor you have to love the craft.

R: Are you on any social networking sites? If so, which ones and what are their
addresses? Do you have an official website?

A: Twitter: http://twitter.com/#!/adamhicks702 Please connect with me on my Twitter.
I love to connect with fans. Just talk and see what everyone’s opinion is.

R: Is there anything else you would like to add or say to your fans?

A: Thank you so much. I hope that everyone checks out “Lemonade Mouth” and to
check out the soundtrack. I hope you guy love it. Thank you all for all of your support.

R: Adam, thank you for the interview. Have a great day.

A: You too.

Louder Than a Bomb tells the story of four Chicago high school poetry teams as they prepare to compete in the world’s largest youth slam. By turns hopeful and heartbreaking, the film captures the turbulent lives of these unforgettable kids, exploring the ways writing shapes their world, and vice versa. Louder Than a Bomb is not about “high school poetry” as we often think of it. It’s about language as a joyful release, irrepressibly talented teenagers obsessed with making words dance. While the topics they tackle are often deeply personal, what they put into their poems-and what they get out of them-is universal: the defining work of finding one’s voice.

Winner of more than a dozen film festival prizes, including seven audience awards, Louder Than a Bomb has been hailed as “powerful and exhilarating” (TimeOut Chicago), “inspiring” (L.A. Times), “irresistible” (Chicago Tribune), “a get-up-and-clap kind of movie” (Paste), “vibrant and moving” (The Wrap), and “a celebration of American youth at their creative best” (Variety).

Written by: Jill Sheets

If you are a fan of Willow Smith and the musical “Annie”, this could make your day. According to www.nydailynews.com, Willow Smith will be stepping into my
favorite red head orphan’s shoes. It has been said that the remake of the movie will be produced by her parents, Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith, and Jay-Z.

In a statement Doug Belgrad, who is the Columbia Pictures President, “The time is right to bring back ANNIE to the big screen. Of course, we’re true believers in Willow’s talent and believe she will be perfect in this role,” This is not the singers first acting role, she was in “I Am Legend,” “ Kit Kittredge: An American Girl” and she was the voice of baby Gloria in “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.”

But with Willow Smith being Annie, who would be playing Daddy Warbucks? According to ew.com, Willow will like to have Brad Pitt playing Daddy Warbucks. But, it makes me wonder if that were to happen, would he have to shave his head? Guess we will have to see what happens, and who the final cast will be.

This soon to be (in October) 11 year-old, has a lot of talent and I can not wait to see how this remake while turn out. Will they use the same songs from the original “Annie? “ If so, are they are going to make the songs more popish or “up to date” or will they write all new songs. They can not miss this opportunity to have Willow Smith sing.

Check out Willow Smith’s video “Whip My Hair” below.

Recently I had the honor of interviewing the talented Jennifer Stone. She will be in the
up and coming movie “Mean Girls 2.” Continue to read on to learn about the movie and
about her character Abby.

R: First Happy Early Birthday. Do you have any major plans set yet for your 18th
Birthday?

J: I already have the appointment to get my first tattoo.

R: Tell us about your new move “Mean Girls 2,” and about your character Abby
Hanover?

J: Aw poor Abby! She is really insecure. She is such a gifted girl, but she can’t see it,
because she’s been so beat down by the Plastics.

R: What are some of the similarities between you and Abby? What are some of the
differences?

J: Abby and I are both very artistic and can be extremely introverted. One of the
differences between Abby and I is I’ve learned the lesson that confidence comes from
within not from how others treat you.

R: What was it like working with Meaghan Martin and Nicole Gale Anderson?

J: So good! They are two insanely sweet girls, and funny! All the girls were phenomenal.

R: What is your favorite part in the movie?

J: I don’t know! I haven’t seen it yet. But I loved watching the scenes between Nicole
and Claire Holt. They are really humorous together. Watching them act together is like
watching a comedic game of tennis.

R: How did you prepare yourself for this role?
J: I did a lot of soul searching. I really brought up all my insecurities and thought of what
happened in my life that created them. Then played them up in order to portray Abby.

R: What type of things did you do on your down time when filming “Mean Girls 2?”

J: I went vintage shopping. I love whenever I am on location to explore the local thrift
stores.

R: What would your dream role be and why? Who is one person you would love to
work with in your dream role?

J: My dream role is any character that scares me initially, but later allows me to surprise
myself. (laughs) lordy, I have a laundry list of people I would love to work with! But I
think I am going to have to go with Johnny Depp, because he is someone I have looked
up to since I was 7. As an actor, he plays and I love an actor who is loose and has fun
with the material.

R: How do you keep yourself grounded when you have been acting most of your live?

J: I have really great parents. They taught me what’s important and what’s not in this
world. They things that people get caught up in are the things that, in the long haul, don’t
really matter.

R: You are a great role model to billions of young girls, teens and young adults. What
do you think is the major trait that someone should have to be considered a role model?

J: Aw thank you so much! I have no clue, but the people I look up to are always really
comfortable in their own skin. I feel like a really strong sense of self is something that
would make someone a role model.

R: What are futures goals? Long terms and short terms.

J: Another laundry list of things I want to do! I want to get a college degree. I want to
have a career as an actress that I find fulfilling. I want to publish a book of poetry. And I
want to have my art work in a gallery someday. I could go on and on. I want to make the
most of this life.

R: I read that you are now on now Tumblr. What is the address?

J: thoughtandwhatnots-js.tumblr.com

R: Is there anything else you would like to add or say to your fans?

J: Just thank you. Your support is priceless and I am so blessed to have fans at all.

It is not a big secret that I am a Harry Potter fan. My obsession began with the first
movie “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” which came out in 2001. At that time, I
had no idea that J.K Rowling even had a books series about this lovable character and his
loyal friends. Finally after “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” I realized that
there were books and I had to get my hands on the complete series.

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” part 1, follows Harry, Ron and Hermione as the
search for and destroy the Horcruxes on top of not getting caughth by Voldemort or the
Ministry of Magic

Finally “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” Part 1 is out in theaters and I am finally
happy that I got to see it, and I am looking forward to the next part.

There is so much I can say about this installment of Harry Potter. First of all — It
was amazing! Not only is the acting wonderful, but it is kind of expected from such
a talented cast, but the costumes, scenery, special effects where great. Pretty much
everything.. Even though this movie is one of the darker of the Harry Potter movies, the
humor is wonderfully placed and derived at the right time. It is not 100% like the book,
but no movie is. What was taken out helped the movie flow quicker. I was surprised
how quickly the movie went. Also, I wondered how and where they were going to split
the two movies. They picked the perfect spot to end and pick up at. This movie will
pull out different emotions from you. Sadness when Hermione has to put a spell on her
parents to keep them safe. You can see the pain in her face as she does the spell and
watches herself disappear from every picture she had been in. Seeing the cast group from
one movie to the next, their talent has improved with each film. I cannot wait to see what
else they will be doing in the future.

I believe “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” Part One is the best Harry Potter
movie so far and I am finding it hard to wait until the next part comes out.

What did you think of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” part 1?

The next actress on this up and coming list also shows a promising acting career. That
California. She has made guest appearances on “ Legend of the seeker,” 90210,”
Hannah Montana,” and has been in a couple of music videos for Metro Station and for
Hinder. But, she is probably more known for her role as Julie Taylor in the NBC’ s
Sports drama series, “ Friday Night Lights.” She has also been working on a couple of
movies, “ Beautiful Wave” and “ Prom,” which is set to premiere on April 29, 2011. At

There looks like there has been a little bit of confusion about Justin Bieber’s new “memoir.” Well at least a memoir was we know it, so he had to go to his twitter account to straighten out everyone confusion.

Justin tweeted, “Someone asked me about the book we are putting out in October… just want to clear something up… it isn’t a memoir… I teamed up with this amazing photographer Robert and he has been taking pictures behind the scenes from before the tour. So the book will include all those pics and I’m going to tell the story of all that led up from rehearsals until the first night of the tour. Pretty excited about it and think everyone will enjoy the story and the pics… but we can all agree I’m a little too young to write a memoir. But we can make a pretty great book with lots of exclusive stuff… but I just got a lot more life to live too.”

This book maybe just something that we have to see to completely understand what it is going to look like.

In more Justin Bieber news, I am sure that you have heard about his 3-D movie that will be coming out. Paramount Pictures has hired John Chu to direct Justin’s up and coming movie. John Chu is not a newbie to directing movies. His movie “Step Up 3-D” is currently in the theatres, and he also directed “Step Up 2: The Streets.” Justin’s movie is set to be releases Valentines Day Weekend in 2011, and it is suppose to be about Justin’s rise to fame.

According to mtv.com, John Chu said in a statement, “When I was approached about doing Justin’s film, I jumped at the opportunity to tell a story with honesty and heart. Most people don’t know that his is a true underdog story, and I hope to tell it in a compelling, genuine way, using all source materials available to convey his tale of becoming an icon for this digital age.”

Sounds like that this is going to be a great movie.

It is great that entertainers have not forgotten about the floods that happened in May. According to www.eonline.com, on Wednesday, August 11 Justin had a concert at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. This concert was sold out, and he gave $1.06 for each ticket sold to “Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee” for flood relief in that area. Total Justin raised $32,690 for this non-profit charity.

Justin Bieber may be considered young, but he has accomplished a lot in his 16 years, and we can not wait to see what else comes from this talented entertainer.
