Friends and work can both be personally fulfilling. However the social networks and acquaintances that are formed at work can sometimes lead to a confusing mixture of responsibilities. Some helpful tips that can balance these two relationships are:

Workplace: First of all, the job that you have been given and hired for is the main responsibility. The initial step for balance in the workplace is keeping up with priorities and to carry out with the job description.

Choosing Friends:. The type of friends that you choose at the work place can have either a negative or positive effect. There are many characteristics that we look for while choosing friends, but probably the most important one is that you trust one another.

Technology: The use of personal devises such as texting, going on twitter, Pandora, etc., can lead to a slippery slope for personal losses or even the end of your job.

Private Information: Sending, receiving and the distribution of confidential information, personal or relating to work, must be kept private by all groups involved, as it can cause severe legal consequences if confidentiality is not maintained.

Drama: The choice to join any kind of drama or gossip can lead to confrontation and have an unpleasing result.

These previous steps will help avoid any kind of loss of friendships, personal troubles, and the avoidance of a lawsuit that may or may not be included in your insurance policy. There are sets of state laws that are specifically for the workplace and if you are breaking them or are unaware of these, it may cause you a disastrous effect on your personal assets.
